As a result of the project, an extensive information system will be created for the collection, primary processing, analysis and visualization of all recorded cosmic and geophysical parameters, including atmospheric conductivity and meteorological parameters, which will allow for a quick and more complete assessment of the cause-and-effect relationship between them. The degree of influence of meteorological parameters (humidity, temperature, pressure) on a new recorded parameter – atmospheric conductivity will be determined. The proportion of registration of slow neutrons of lithospheric origin from cosmic origin in slow (epithermal) neutron detectors will be determined to use this information in the future for the purpose of diagnosing and predicting seismic activity. The influence of sporadic manifestations of solar activity (coronal mass ejections) on atmospheric conductivity will be investigated, and the influence of thunderstorm activity on the registration of neutrons in different energy ranges will be investigated.

</details>

<details class="wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow">
Results Obtained

Data on atmospheric conductivity, electric field, thermal neutron flux, and meteorological parameters were collected and initially processed. It was established that the relationship between atmospheric conductivity, temperature, pressure, and humidity varies throughout the year and is most pronounced in summer. Increasing humidity was shown to lead to a decrease in the concentration of small ions and a reduction in atmospheric conductivity.

The proportion of slow neutrons of lithospheric origin recorded by detectors was determined. The dependence of the lithospheric neutron flux on fault depth was established: with increasing depth, the volume of the active zone of (α, n) reactions and the total neutron flux reaching the Earth’s surface increase.

Research continues on the influence of coronal mass ejections and Forbush depressions on atmospheric conductivity, as well as the influence of thunderstorm activity on the detection of neutrons in various energy ranges.

</details>

<details class="wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow">
Project Publications

V.
