"He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, earned a Master of Engineering Science degree, and completed a PhD program at Satbayev University (KazNRTU). He began his career at the National Center of Space Research and Technology JSC, where he rose from an engineer to the head of the Institute of Ionosphere. He is the author of more than 50 scientific publications in domestic and international journals. Since 2022, he has been leading the Institute of Ionosphere, where he oversees scientific activities, the development of the institute, and the implementation of scientific and technical projects.
Iskakov Berik
Deputy Director for Research and Development (R&D)
    Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Ionosphere, specialist in Earth remote sensing, geophysics, and geodynamics. He holds a Master’s degree from the Polytechnic University of Lorraine (France). He has over 15 years of research experience in the space and geophysical industries. He is the author of more than 30 scientific publications and a co-author of an innovative patent in the field of hydrocarbon deposit forecasting. He has been honored with departmental awards for his contribution to the development of the aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He actively participates in the implementation of research projects and the advancement of the institute's scientific activities.

Comprehensive and integrated implementation of scientific research in the field of Sun–Earth relations and Earth observation from space based on satellite technologies and ground-based observations, aimed at contributing to economic growth, ensuring national security, and improving the quality of life of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Our Goal

to transform the Ionosphere Institute into a productive and efficient scientific organization in both the near and long term through its scientific and research-organizational activities, capable of operating in the modern market on a self-sustaining basis. 

Our Vision

The Ionosphere Institute is a major modern scientific research institution in the Central Asian region, conducting fundamental and applied studies in Sun–Earth relations, space weather, as well as ground–space geodynamic and geophysical monitoring. It is capable of addressing scientifically and technically significant challenges for the national economy and fostering international collaboration in geophysical science and space technologies.
